What to expect
Getting help for your sleep shouldn't feel confusing or clinical. Here's the whole journey — start to finish — so you always know what comes next.
A clear path to better sleep
Most patients are seen within the week, in person in Glendale or by telehealth anywhere in Arizona. Here's exactly how it works.
- Book or send a referral Start online in about two minutes, call us, or ask your primary care doctor to send a referral — whatever's easiest. You don't need a referral to book with us, but we're happy to work alongside your other providers if you have one.
- Insurance verified before your visit Our team checks your benefits ahead of time so you know what's covered and what to expect out of pocket. No guessing, no surprise bills. We accept most major Arizona plans and Medicare — see our insurance page for details.
- Your first consultation Meet with your sleep physician in our Glendale office or by secure telehealth. We'll listen to your history, talk through your symptoms, and answer your questions. This visit is unhurried — the goal is to understand your sleep, not rush you through.
- Your sleep study Many patients qualify for an easy take-home test you wear in your own bed for one night. For more complex cases, we offer overnight studies in our AASM-accredited lab — designed to feel more like a comfortable hotel room than a hospital.
- Results & diagnosis review Your physician reviews the data with you in plain language — what we found, what it means, and why it matters for your health. You'll leave this visit understanding your diagnosis, not holding a stack of numbers you can't read.
- Treatment & ongoing follow-up Together we build a treatment plan that fits your life — whether that's CPAP, an oral appliance, the Inspire implant, or lifestyle changes. And we stay with you: we check in, fine-tune your therapy, and adjust as needed so you keep sleeping — and feeling — better.
Care built around you, not the paperwork
We handle the details so you can focus on resting. Here's what you can count on from your first call onward.
A few things that help
Nothing complicated — but a little prep makes your first visit smoother.
Jot down your sleep story
Note when your sleep troubles started, what a typical night looks like, and anything a partner has noticed — snoring, gasping, or pauses in breathing.
Bring your list
Have your current medications, any past sleep studies, and your insurance card handy. If you're on telehealth, keep them nearby.

Do I need a referral to be seen?
No. You can book directly with us. If your primary care doctor has referred you, we'll coordinate with them — but a referral isn't required to get started.
Can my whole journey be done by telehealth?
Much of it can. Consultations and results reviews are available by secure video anywhere in Arizona, and many patients qualify for a home sleep test. Some situations call for an in-lab study or an in-office visit, and we'll let you know if that applies to you.
How long does the whole process take?
It varies, but most patients move from first consultation to a treatment plan within a few weeks. Home sleep tests and results reviews are usually the quickest steps — we don't leave you waiting.
Will I know my costs before anything happens?
Yes. We verify your insurance benefits before your visit and walk you through any expected out-of-pocket costs, so there are no surprises. Questions in the meantime? Call us at (602) 206-6262.
