Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sonoran Sleep Center ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with this website. It applies to this website only. Protected health information you share as a patient — for example, when you book, complete intake, or communicate through our secure patient portal — is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable health-privacy law, not by this policy.
Please don't send medical details through this website. If you submit health-related information to us, it may be treated as health information. For anything clinical, use our secure patient portal, call us, or bring it to your visit.
Information we collect
A. Information you provide to us
Our website is designed to collect as little personal information as possible, and it does not include a general contact form. You may choose to give us information directly — for example, if you email or call us, or fill out a form we link to (such as our patient-feedback form). That information may include your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Appointment booking and clinical intake are handled in our separate, HIPAA-covered patient portal (IntakeQ), not on this website.
B. Information collected automatically (usage data)
Like most websites, when you visit, our hosting and security infrastructure may automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, the pages you view and time spent, referring and exit pages, and the date and time of access. We use this for operating, securing, and improving the site.
C. Cookies and similar technologies
We take a privacy-first approach. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites. We may use a small amount of essential or functional browser storage needed to operate the site and remember basic preferences. The optional website assistant keeps a conversation in your browser's memory only for that session. You can control or clear cookies and storage through your browser settings; if you disable them, some features may not function properly.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the website
- Respond to your requests, inquiries, and messages
- Help you schedule appointments or find information you request
- Improve the website, user experience, and quality of our services
- Monitor and analyze usage and trends in the aggregate
- Detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited circumstances:
A. Service providers
We work with trusted vendors who perform services for us and may process limited information on our behalf — for example, website hosting and security, our patient-scheduling and portal system (IntakeQ), our feedback-form provider, and the provider that powers the optional website assistant. Where these vendors may handle protected health information, they do so under a business associate agreement. They may use information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
B. Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation (law, regulation, subpoena, or court order), to protect and defend our rights or property, to investigate possible wrongdoing, to protect the safety of users or the public, or to protect against legal liability.
C. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, consistent with applicable law.
Analytics
If we use analytics to understand how visitors use the site, we use privacy-first, cookieless analytics that measure traffic in the aggregate. These tools do not build advertising profiles, do not track you across other sites, and are not used to identify you individually. We do not use Google Analytics on this website.
Advertising and measurement
We do not place advertising or tracking pixels on this website. If we advertise our practice (for example, through search ads), we measure how well that advertising works using privacy-preserving methods — such as aggregated click and phone-call measurement, and conversions imported from our own systems (for example, when an ad click later results in a booked appointment). We never share information about your health, your conditions, or the specific pages you view with any advertising platform.
Website assistant
This site offers an optional AI assistant that can answer general questions about our practice and sleep health. If you use it, your typed messages are processed by a third-party AI service under a business associate agreement. The assistant does not provide medical advice or diagnosis, is not used to make decisions about your care, and your conversation is not stored by us after the session. Please do not enter personal health details — the assistant can't help with clinical matters and will direct you to call our office.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or compliance).
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
International visitors
We operate in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the site and providing information, you consent to this transfer.
Links to third-party websites
Our site may contain links to third-party websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site. Parents or legal guardians may use the site on behalf of a minor. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through this website, please contact us at info@sonoransleep.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices and rights
A. Cookies and browser storage
You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings.
B. Marketing communications
If you receive non-essential emails from us, you can opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us.
C. State privacy rights (U.S.)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information. To submit a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We do not sell personal information as "sale" is defined under applicable privacy laws.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, our site does not currently respond to DNT signals. As noted above, we do not track you across other websites regardless.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Changes are effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
